Beyond Here is a Community Interest Company created from a shared belief that people deserve support not only through diagnosis and treatment, but in the journey that follows.
Through our own lived experiences of cancer and chronic illness, alongside our professional and voluntary work, we recognised the need for a different kind of support. Once appointments became less frequent and treatment ended, many people were left feeling isolated, uncertain and unsure how to move forward.
That’s why we created Beyond Here.
For some people, treatment ends but the challenges continue. For others, persistent symptoms remain despite investigations, or there are no clear medical explanations for what they are experiencing. Many are left wondering, “What happens now?”
As a not-for-profit organisation, our purpose is to create expert-led workshops and supportive community groups, providing practical tools, meaningful conversations and lasting connections that help people live well beyond their health challenges.
We work alongside healthcare professionals, social prescribers and community organisations to complement existing services and respond to the needs of the people we support.
We believe that while every journey is different, nobody should have to navigate it alone. Beyond Here exists to help people move forward with greater confidence, self-compassion, connection and hope.
